Safani Gunasekera was born in Sri Lanka and migrated to Canada in 2005. She moved to Bradford, Ontario in December 2013. She always had a passion for photography, an eye for nature and its colours. She was able to fulfill her passion during her visits back to her native Sri Lanka. These visits gave her the opportunity to spend time in wild life sanctuaries and photograph wild animals in their natural environment. She owns a wide collection of wildlife photographs and is looking for opportunities to showcase her original work.
Safani is proud to call Bradford her hometown. She has been taking part in BWG Studio Art Tour for the past two years and takes this opportunity to display her passion for photography. She likes to explore and capture the beautiful sceneries and colours in her neighbourhood through her camera lenses. Her main interest is photographing wildlife. During visits back to her native Sri Lanka, she spends much of her time in the island’s national parks photographing birds and animals in their natural environment.
